    About

Hello and Welcome to Fetching Time!

I’m Yuan, the human behind Fetching Time, and I’ve had a soft spot for dogs for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was the one who stopped mid-walk to say hello to every dog on the sidewalk, fully convinced that each one was secretly my best friend. That never really changed, I just got older, busier… and eventually adopted dogs of my own.

Today, I’m proudly owned by two dachshund mixes. One is a little on the extra-fluffy side and very food-motivated; the other is small, speedy, and always plotting something. People often ask, “Are they really dachshund mixes?”
Trust me, it’s all dachshund. The attitude alone confirms it.

My dogs go everywhere with me. And I truly mean everywhere. If a place doesn’t welcome dogs, I simply don’t go, no hard feelings. My priorities are clear. They’re not just pets; they’re my family, my babies, my travel buddies, snack supervisors, couch hogs, and full-time emotional support managers. They are completely spoiled rotten, and I regret absolutely nothing. 🙂

Fetching Time was created as a place to share that love: real, everyday dog life. I’m a dog person writing about dogs for dog people, and if you believe dogs deserve joy, patience, good snacks, and a life that includes you as much as possible, you’ll fit right in here.

Fun fact: when I’m not chasing dogs around or planning our next dog-friendly outing, I’m usually in the kitchen cooking and shooting recipe photos. I also run my main website, Sassy Chopsticks, where I share mostly Asian-inspired recipes made for real life.

At the end of the day, Fetching Time is about choosing dogs over places, over plans, and sometimes over my own sanity. And honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way.

    Welcome to my pack! 🐶❤️
